2026-2027 Application NOW OPEN!
As a choice school, McKemy Academy of International Studies is an accredited International Baccalaureate school and requires all students to apply to attend.
Students must also meet the following criteria:

Most recent standardized and/or state testing showing ‘proficient’ or ‘highly proficient’ in reading and/or math*
*This criteria applies to both in- and out-of-district student applications.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT fill out the 2025-2026 application for the 2026-2027 school year.
If your child currently attends a school within Tempe Elementary Schools, school administration has access to and will review the documents pertaining to minimum qualification criteria. If your child is not currently attending a school within Tempe Elementary Schools, please send all requested qualification files to nicole.boyd@tempeschools.org.
Transportation Information
As a choice school, transportation to and from McKemy is the parent/guardian responsibility, unless transportation has been approved by Tempe Elementary Schools.
A transportation request form will be provided to all students who will be attending McKemy Academy in the 2026-2027 school year.
Transportation is not guaranteed due to limited space. There are currently stops at Aguilar, Arredondo, Curry, Frank, Fuller, Holdeman, Nevitt, Scales, Shamley, Spracale, Thew, Wood, and Scudder Park (Rover/Fees). For more information, please call (480) 642-1540, ext. 7619.
Applications for the current 2025-2026 School Year
Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted. Parents will be notified by email if their child has been accepted or placed on a waitlist. Pending acceptance, parents will be notified with next steps.
